    PTUK Launches Cooperative Digital Media Diploma in Ramallah

    Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK) has officially announced the launch of a cooperativeJournalism and Digital Media Diploma at its branch in Ramallah, during a formal ceremony attended by key academic and institutional representatives.

    The launch of this diploma comes as part of the university’s strategic direction to develop cooperative educational programs that combine theoretical knowledge with practical application, in partnership with both public and private sector institutions.

    The event was attended by Dr. Muammar Shtayyeh, President of the National Commission for Accreditation and Quality Assurance and representative of the Minister of Education and Higher Education; PTUK President Prof. Hussein Shanak; Ramallah Branch Director Prof. Julatan Hijazi; representatives of the German Representative Office and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ); Dr. Rabah Morar, Head of the National Authority for Technical and Vocational Education and Training; as well as representatives from the Journalists’ Syndicate, chambers of commerce and industry, and partner media institutions.

    Prof. Hussein Shanak emphasized that the program reflects the university’s vision to offer high-quality, market-driven academic pathways that respond to local and international trends. He noted that PTUK is committed to designing educational tracks that equip young people with the skills needed to enter the labor market, secure employment opportunities, or launch their own entrepreneurial ventures based on innovation and creativity.

    Speakers at the ceremony highlighted the significance of this initiative, stressing that collaboration between academic institutions and the labor market is a cornerstone for advancing applied education and preparing media professionals capable of keeping pace with rapid digital transformations.

    The event also featured a promotional video presenting the program’s vision and objectives, highlighting its role in preparing media professionals with advanced digital skills and the ability to produce integrated media content.
