    PTUK and Economic Empowerment Association Conclude Cybersecurity Training Program

    Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, in cooperation with the Economic and Social Empowerment Association, concluded a graduation ceremony for 15 participants who completed specialized training programs in cybersecurity.

    The event was held at the university’s main campus in Tulkarm in the presence of University President Prof. Hussein Shanak, Executive Director of the Economic and Social Empowerment Association Ms. Sahar Othman, Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Alaa Issa, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Dr. Jaafar Al-Masri, in addition to the program trainers.

    Prior to the graduation ceremony, participants presented the outcomes of the training and the skills they acquired throughout the program period.

    Prof. Hussein Shanak expressed the university’s pride in its partnership with the Economic and Social Empowerment Association, stating: “We value the strong communication and mutual trust between the association and the university, as it represents a long-term partner in supporting and developing students’ capacities. We appreciate your efforts and the projects you provide, and we seek to further strengthen them in ways that serve the educational and training process.”

    Prof. Shanak noted that these programs represent a practical model for integrating academic education with applied training, adding: “We are working to expand these pathways to include more specializations connected to digital transformation and cybersecurity.”

    He further emphasized the university’s commitment to enhancing students’ readiness for the labor market through strategic partnerships with specialized institutions, ensuring the development of their professional and technical competencies and strengthening their presence in modern technology fields at both the local and international levels.

    For her part, Executive Director of the Economic and Social Empowerment Association Ms. Sahar Othman expressed her appreciation to PTUK for its fruitful and distinguished cooperation, praising the level of the participating students. She stated: “They demonstrated excellence among Palestinian universities,” adding that “Kadoorie University gives close attention and careful follow-up to such specialized programs, which contributes to improving the quality of training outcomes.”

    The training programs included the Certified Cyber Intelligence Threat Analyst course and the Certified Lead Ethical Hacker (CEH) course. The 15 participants received specialized training focused on cybersecurity concepts, threat analysis, network security, ethical hacking, as well as practical applications and real-world simulations. Participants also sat for the international certification exams related to these programs.

    The event concluded with the distribution of participation certificates to the graduates, in a step aimed at supporting their professional careers and encouraging them to continue developing their skills in the cybersecurity sector.
