PTUK Chairs 3EEE Steering Committee Meeting at Metropolitan University in Greece

Palestine Technical University–Kadoorie (PTUK) chaired the administrative meeting of the Steering Committee for the Erasmus+ funded 3EEE Project, titled “Designing Practical Courses and Programs through the Flipped Classroom Approach in Three Learning Environments,” at Metropolitan University in Greece. As the project coordinator, PTUK led discussions on the project’s progress, achievements, and future directions.

Prof. Nuha Iter, Project Director, explained that the meeting reviewed the overall progress toward the project’s objectives, evaluated completed deliverables submitted to the European Union, and examined key achievements realized between 2023 and 2026. Participants also assessed progress across the various work packages, highlighting both completed and pending outputs.

The meeting further addressed strategies for sustainability and dissemination at both local and international levels. Partners agreed to promote the 3EEE Project as an innovative pedagogical model for higher education in emergency, crisis, and conflict settings, particularly in Palestine, enabling its outcomes to benefit institutions operating under similar circumstances worldwide.

Discussions also featured PTUK’s experience in implementing the Professional Diploma in Higher Education Pedagogy, alongside reviews of the draft guide for designing university courses using the flipped classroom approach across three learning environments and the project’s sustainability strategy. Participants examined proposed models for sustaining and expanding project outcomes, mechanisms for developing an evaluation toolkit for flipped-classroom courses, and the facilitator’s guide for the professional diploma program. In addition, they explored potential research papers based on the project’s methodology for presentation at peer-reviewed international conferences and finalized key themes, timelines, and scientific content for the project’s closing conference.

The meeting was chaired by Prof. Nuha Iter and attended in person by representatives from partner institutions, including Palestine Polytechnic University, the University of Applied Management Studies (UAMS), the University of Lisbon, the Institute of Polymer Technology, and Metropolitan University. Additional participants joined virtually from the Palestinian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Al-Quds University, the Arab American University, and the University College of Applied Sciences.

Prof. Iter emphasized the importance of the discussions in enhancing the quality and impact of the project’s outcomes. She stressed the need to complete and submit all remaining deliverables during the project’s forty-sixth month, while advancing efforts to mainstream the 3EEE model through the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, the Palestinian Higher Education Council, and higher education experts and researchers, ensuring broader adoption at both the Palestinian and international levels.
