Diploma of Vehicle Body Repair / Cooperative

  • About

The automotive sector is undergoing rapid development driven by the shift towards electric and hybrid vehicles, which now represent the future of global transportation. It is expected that such vehicles will take a prominent place in the Palestinian market in the near future. This shift requires the preparation of specialized technical personnel equipped with the necessary skills to handle this type of vehicle, in line with technological advancements and high safety requirements. Working with electric and hybrid vehicles requires a high level of craftsmanship, due to the presence of high voltage that could cause serious injuries or even death if technicians are not sufficiently aware of the basics and procedures for safe handling.

This program focuses on one of the most critical areas of vehicle maintenance: the repair and treatment of modern vehicle bodies, with a focus on providing students with the practical knowledge and skills required to work in this vital field. It includes working with the structures of conventional, electric, and hybrid vehicles using the latest tools and techniques adopted in global repair workshops.

The program includes intensive training in an advanced applied learning environment in cooperation with a number of local workshops and companies, enabling students to learn in a realistic context that enhances their employment prospects. Partnership with the private sector is one of the key strengths of this program, allowing students to integrate early into the job market and acquire hands-on experience from real-world sources.

The program focuses on developing various skills including:
    • Diagnosing and assessing structural damage
    • Performing various types of welding
    • Adjusting dimensions using modern measurement systems
    • Repairing and finishing vehicle bodies
    • Working with various materials (metal, plastic, glass)
    • Dismantling and assembling interior systems and structural components
    • Understanding intelligent safety systems in vehicles
    • Preparing accurate technical reports for damage assessment and repair plans

The program concludes by qualifying students to work in various areas related to vehicle body repair and maintenance, including specialized repair workshops, car agencies, and certified service centres, based on an integrated foundation of knowledge and skills. Thanks to the integrative nature of the program, which combines theoretical and field training in real work environments, students gain direct experience that enhances their professional readiness and accelerates their entry into the job market upon graduation. It also allows them to start their own professional projects in the field of body repair.
