The Department of Continuing Education was established in 1996 within the departments of the Deanship of Development Affairs and Community Service.
The department stemmed from the university’s strategic development plan, which harnesses the many activities and resources available in its various departments to meet the development needs of the community, by organizing various courses and training programs in various fields.
All qualification and training programs are implemented in cooperation with a large group of distinguished local experts, trainers and consultants working in various universities and local, regional and international institutions.
Capacity building and skills development in various professional, technical, administrative, and informatics fields.
Providing various opportunities for vocational, technical and modern technological training and education that are commensurate with the needs of society.
• Building strong relationships with various professional bodies, identifying their capabilities, and benefiting from their experiences in serving all segments of society.
• Developing the capabilities and skills of local community members and target groups in many fields.
• Contribute to developing the capabilities of university staff academically, administratively and technically.
• Supporting academic programs at the university and nearby universities by offering specialized courses based on practical applications.
• Following up on modern scientific trends and transferring them to the university employees to achieve the highest quality in the performance levels of the employees.
• Providing training courses for university graduates to give them suitable qualification opportunities for the labor market.
• Implementation of training courses to serve workers in official and non-official institutions.
• Implementation of specialized vocational diploma programs according to the needs of the labor market.
• Networking and cooperation with local centers and institutions for training and knowledge exchange.
