  • The wife or daughter of a martyr is exempt as long as she is unmarried.

Social Affairs Cases

(Government or UNRWA)

  • The student's ID number must be provided to confirm the continuity of the registered case in the approved semester program for Government Affairs, and a letter approved by UNRWA for social cases must be provided on a semester basis.
  • The minimum cumulative GPA for the scholarship is 65% for a bachelor's degree and 60% for a diploma.

Brothers' Exemption

25%

  • The exemption is granted to each brother, regardless of the number of brothers, and the exemption remains in effect as long as the brothers are registered and regular at the university.
  • The minimum cumulative GPA for the scholarship is 65% for a bachelor's degree and 60% for a diploma.
  • General conditions for exemptions apply.

Exemption for A Prisoner Based on Nationality

(who is still in captivity)

  • A letter from the Commission of Released Prisoners' Affairs and the Red Cross proving the period of detention must be submitted.
  • The Students and spouse of a prisoner are exempted if the prisoner was sentenced to a minimum of five years and has been in captivity for at least three years.
  • The Students of a female prisoner are exempted if the female prisoner was sentenced to a minimum of three years and has been in captivity for at least one year.
  • The minimum cumulative GPA for the grant is 65% for a bachelor's degree and 60% for a diploma.

Exemption for A Released Prisoner

100%

  • A letter from the Commission for Released Prisoners' Affairs and the Red Cross proving the period of detention is required.
  • A released prisoner is exempted if he has spent at least five years in captivity.
  • A released female prisoner is exempted if she has spent at least three years in captivity.
  • A released prisoner is entitled to grant the exemption to one of his Students or spouse to obtain a first university degree.
  • The minimum cumulative GPA for the grant is 65% for a bachelor's degree and 60% for a diploma.

Scholarship for Jerusalemites

  • The student must be a graduate of the Ministry-licensed schools in the Old City of Jerusalem: Orphanage, Mar Mitri-Dimitri, Terra Santa, Antoine College, Our Lady of the Pillar, Sharia Secondary School for Boys, Sharia Secondary School for Girls, and Frere.
  • A certified high school transcript must be submitted.
  • A cumulative average of 70% must be maintained.

A Scholarship for People

with Special Needs

  • A report from the medical committee must be submitted to prove the degree of disability.
  • The approved disability rate is 50% or higher.
  • The minimum cumulative GPA for the scholarship is 65% for a bachelor's degree and 60% for a diploma.
  • General conditions for exemptions apply.
  • Each academic year, 10 scholarships are awarded to the main center and 4 scholarships to each branch.

Important Notes:

  • If a student meets the conditions for more than one scholarship or exemption, they will receive only the highest exemption or scholarship. Exemptions and scholarships may not be combined.
  • A student is granted an exemption or scholarship for a course only once. The following courses are exempted from exemptions and student scholarships:
    1. Registered course (repeated).
    2. Registered course (late withdrawal).
    3. Registered course (substitute).
    4. Course (remedial).
    5. Supplementary courses.
    6. Courses that are not included in the plan load.
    7. If the course result is "pass" or "fail," it is not included in any exemption or scholarship.
    8. Master's thesis.
  • Exemptions and grants do not include the summer semester under any circumstances.
  • A student is entitled to a grant or exemption due to the nature of their parents' work only if they are under 23 years of age upon enrollment. After this age, they are treated as students independent of their parents and do not receive an exemption.
  • A bridging student receives an exemption or grant based on the bachelor's program, minus the entire diploma program, if they received an exemption or grant while studying for a diploma.
  • A student is granted a grant or exemption only once (for one academic degree, either a diploma or a bachelor's degree).
  • When a student re-enrolls at the university (i.e., if they have an old registration number), they may continue to enjoy the exemption or grant they previously received, provided they repay all exemptions and grants they received (on their old number) in cash before re-enrolling, and provided they do not violate the age requirement upon enrollment.
  • All grants and exemptions will be revoked for a student who has committed a behavioral violation that resulted in at least a first-degree warning, and the grant will remain revoked for the duration of the penalty.

  • The tuition exemption rate is 75% for students who place first in official university sports competitions.

  • The exemption is valid for the semester following the semester of athletic participation only.
  • The student’s cumulative average must not be less than 70%.

Available for students enrolled in the program during the first and second semesters (excluding the summer semester), provided that the cumulative GPA is not less than 75%.

Agricultural Biotechnology

75%

The student must maintain a cumulative GPA of 90% or above.

Agricultural Biotechnology

The student must maintain a cumulative GPA between 85% and 89.9%.
