PTUK and Ta’awon for Conflict Resolution Conclude Training on Media, Conflict, and Dialogue

The Deanship of Student Affairs at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK), in partnership with Ta’awon for Conflict Resolution, successfully concluded a two‑day training program titled Media, Conflict, and Dialogue. The 16‑hour program benefited 56 students from various academic disciplines.

The training is part of the Bread and Salt project, implemented by Ta’awon for Conflict Resolution in cooperation with DW and supported by the European Union. It aims to strengthen youth engagement in responsible media practices and promote constructive discourse that contributes to conflict management and community cohesion.

Participants received hands‑on training in conflict‑sensitive media, media ethics, and dialogue tools, enabling them to produce socially responsible media content.

Dr. Alaa Issa, Dean of Student Affairs at PTUK, emphasized the University’s commitment to empowering students through high‑quality programs that enhance their professional skills and readiness for societal and labor‑market engagement. He highlighted the partnership with Ta’awon as a model for effective collaboration between academic and community institutions.

Mr. Fares Saad, representing Ta’awon for Conflict Resolution, noted that the training reflects the organization’s ongoing efforts to build the capacities of Palestinian university students and foster a culture of dialogue and understanding.

The event concluded with a certificate‑awarding ceremony attended by University and partner‑organization representatives.
