President Assistant for Information Technology Affairs


The University President’s Assistant for Information Technology Affairs ‎manages and coordinates the work of centers and areas related to technology in ‎the university to support its vision and mission and improve the educational ‎process.‎
The office also manages the university’s website and e-learning center in ‎addition to managing all technological aspects of the university, which include ‎planning for information technology services. ‎
The office works to support information technology services so that the ‎university keeps abreast with the latest technological trends and employs ‎modern and advanced technological services in the educational process.

Objectives

‎• Developing and improving information and communication technology ‎services and computerizing various university services.‎
‎• Facilitating the process of communication with the outside world, especially ‎with regard to electronic employment, alumni affairs, continuing education, ‎and the university library.‎
‎• Providing basic technological services to the university, such as e-mail, and ‎computerized educational media to enhance the educational process.‎
‎• Providing and supporting the appropriate technical infrastructure for the ‎introduction of modern technological techniques in administrative and ‎academic work, and setting specific standards to upgrade devices and systems ‎to maximum levels of reliability.‎
‎• Planning and providing infrastructure and support for means of protection ‎and security, communication networks, mobile devices, information centers, ‎computers, and servers.‎
‎• Developing and improving the competencies and skills of information and ‎communication technology necessary for faculty members, staff, and students.‎
‎• Controlling the university’s data, and providing the necessary procedures to ‎protect it from damage or loss.‎
• Providing consultations and services related to information technology to ‎local community institutions.‎
‎• Spreading the culture of e-learning and education inside and outside the ‎university through the e-learning center.‎
‎• Developing a supportive learning environment to enhance learners’ self-learning skills and twenty-first-century skills by integrating innovative ‎technologies into modern teaching methods.‎
‎• Qualifying the academic staff and developing its capabilities to enable them ‎to employ the latest technologies and methodologies in all aspects of the ‎educational process.‎
‎• Enriching the Arabic educational content with high-quality electronic courses ‎in accordance with international standards.‎
‎• Networking with local, regional, and international partners in the field of e-learning to keep pace with technological developments.‎
