    This course generally aims to develop students' major and minor English language skills. The course is geared toward equipping students with the skills they need to comprehend texts, contexts, and situations related to everyday life. Throughout the course, students will be exposed to a variety of listening approaches to expand and deepen their listening comprehension and critical thinking skills. Students are expected to acquire the skills necessary to express their opinions on everyday topics and problems, both orally and in writing, thus broadening their academic horizons.

    This course is equivalent to three credit hours, two of which are theoretical and one of which is practical. This course addresses the concept of corruption, its forms and definition locally, regionally and internationally, the role of the corruption system in Palestine, and the role of civil society institutions, good governance and local authorities in combating corruption.

    This course aims to practice the students on various measuring devices and how to connect them in electrical and electronic circuits to obtain readings of electrical parameters. The student will also be able to use such devices to determine electrical and electronic faults.

    Components of direct current circuits, theories and methods of analysis of circuits (parallel, parallel and composite). Types of power sources and their transformations, equivalent circuits, capacitors, coils and their transient conditions in direct current circuits, magnetic circuits, star and triangle couplings and switching between them. AC power, sinusoidal signals, AC power elements, induction, capacitance and resistance.

    This course allows students to identify air generation systems, draw and read schematics of automatic and hydraulic control circuits, choose, install and maintain the pneumatic and hydraulic systems according to the technical charts, choose, install and maintain electromechanical and electrohydraulic systems according to the technical drawings.

    This course aims at introducing students to electrical protection systems, industrial and house installation systems, fuses, relays, electrical timers, circuit breakers and sources of feeding for these systems. This course is divided into theory and practice equally.

    This workshop gives the student basic knowledge and ability for simple mechanical tasks for metalworking shop layout, industrial safety, materials, soldering, welding, fitting, metal cutting, drilling, milling and tapping. Safety engineering and management with emphasis on control of hazardous materials, fire prevention, safety considerations in production facility design and maintenance, and operation of effective safety programs.

    This course introduces the students to power inductors, power transistors, power thyristors, uncontrolled single- and three-phase unifying circuits and thyristor switching techniques, unifying circuits and single- and three-phase voltage regulators, working principle and circuit breaker and inverter.

    This course aims to provide students with the following skills: identify the mechanical principles of electric drive systems, different types of dc and ac electric motors in terms of mechanical and electromechanical properties, principles, operation and control. Also this course introduces students to the real automatic drive systems such as: elevators, cranes, pumps, transportation machines.

    This course allows the students to identify, program, operate and connect PLC device with industrial panels, deal with HMI screen encoder and other units, install and program integrated automation system. This course is divided into three parts equally, 1 credit of theory at university, 1 credit of practice at university and 1 credit of practice (40 working hours) at labor market

  • 3082234: Graduation Project [2 Credit Hours]

    The graduation project demonstrates the student’s ability to deal and solve practice-related problems from the respective field by using theoretical and practical knowledge and methods. During the last semester of study, the student will assign a specialized problem inspired from his workplace. The problem definition spans from gathering all pertinent information and data through studying, analyzing and recording the problem. This project must be done under the supervision of both, lecturer from the university and a qualified supervisor from the company. At the end of the project, the result of the student’s findings must be provided in form of a report, and an additional demo presentation with discussion in front representatives from the university and company.

    This course allows the students to conduct experiments on electrical transformer, equivalent circuit of the transformer, measuring the performance of the electrical transformer under load, the self-transformer, parallel connection of the transformers, performing multiple experiments on the induction motors, single and three phase synchronous generators and control of motion speed.
