A close examination of the market's needs clearly shows the necessity of providing more qualified scientific personnel in Arabic language, its literature, and applications in the fields of education, law, and media, as well as employing it in the service of cultural communication between nations, because Arabic is one of the major languages in the civilized world.
It is expected that Khadoorie University will complete the construction of the university's cultural center in early 2025, under the university mosque building. An academic incubator for this center is essential, as it will serve as a scientific, cultural, and financial resource for the university and the community.
And there is the Language Center established by the university to play an active role in attracting foreigners to teach Arabic to non-native speakers, in addition to holding courses, seminars, and literary and linguistic workshops, which contribute to spreading a culture of knowledge and creativity in Palestinian society.
In light of scientific progress and technological development, it has become essential to provide qualified personnel to keep up with the demands of modern life and to benefit from its modernity, technologies, and methods. This is achieved by focusing on the practical aspects of all levels of the Arabic language, its sciences, and literature, and their relationship with other sciences. This approach provides exceptional scientific competencies for the job market both within the homeland and abroad, with high competitiveness capable of creativity and excellence.
The general objectives of the Bachelor's program in "Arabic Language and Literature" can be summarized as follows:
• Developing applied linguistic and literary skills, as well as communicative abilities, to enhance the creative and innovative potentials of students.
• Equipping students with linguistic, literary, and critical skills, and linking them to modern functional techniques.
• Establishing the close relationship between the Arabic language and its literature and other heritage and human sciences.
• Linking the Arabic language and its literature to important contemporary knowledge, such as media, law, computer science, proofreading, and digital electronic education.
• Developing a culture of dialogue and openness to others and their civilizations, according to authentic linguistic standards.
• Restoring trust and pride in the Arabic language and its literature; through practice, and combining its authenticity with modernity.
• Strengthening scientific and cultural ties with Arabic language and literature departments in universities, colleges, and institutes, and with Arabic language academies; contributing to the development of Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, and enhancing its scientific status locally, Arabically, and internationally.
