PTUK Receives United Holy Land Fund

The President of Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie received at his office on Monday September 17, 2018 a delegation from the United Holy Land Fund comprised of the Executive Manager, Mohammad Abu Rmeishan, the Fund’s Member, Dr. Fadwa Naji and a group of the Fund’s scholarship recipients.
Prof. Abu-Rub welcomed the delegates praising their great role helping the distinguished students to complete their university studies and to build up future leaders of Palestine towards the advancement of development in different sectors.
He also thanked the UHLF contributors of the Palestinian community in the United States for their true, humanitarian belonging to the Palestinian people, commending their noble message that marked long standing values in many Palestinian educational institutions over the past five decades.
For his part, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Alaa Isa praised the UHLF support and strong relationship with the University, affirming on the students’ keenness to acquire high educational outcomes, hoping more of the same continuous cooperation between the University and UHLF.
In this context, Abu Rmeishan spoke to the grant beneficiaries’ students about UHLF and its role in supporting the students and fatherless children, explaining that investment in Palestine should be in the first place in education and helping the less fortunate students to have an opportunity to complete their education.
He pointed out that the UHLF members’ visits aim at boost the morale of the students and their educational institutions and at strengthening the relationship with the supporters of the Palestinian community to see their charitable deeds.
During the meeting, the Member of the UHFL Board of Directors, Dr. Fadwa Naji introduced a historical background about their organization, which dates back to 1968, its aims, stages of development, and activities that help the Palestinian people to be more productive, peace loving and self-sufficient in their own country.
Additionally, a short video, produced by the Media Division at PTUK, was displayed to the delegates which shows the students’ grant recipients thanking the UHLF and their charitable support which helped them greatly during their academic lives, hoping UHLF would offer more opportunities for a large number of students.
