Kadoorie Concludes Workshop in Human Rights and Gender Equality

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie has successfully concluded its participation in a series of specialized training workshops focused on human rights and gender equality.

These workshops were conducted as part of the "Amal" project, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, and targeted students from higher education institutions throughout the 2024-2025 academic year.

The university was represented in these workshops by a distinguished group of academic and administrative staff, including Dr. Ahmad Ammar, Dean of the College of Arts and Educational Sciences, Dr. Intisar Salman, Dr. Fadi Abu Dayak, and Mr. Khalil Abu Albah from the Deanship of Student Affairs. They were accompanied by a group of students: Saeed Sharshir, Salwa Hamad, Jawad Qublawi, and Lama Ali.

Dr. Ahmad Ammar emphasized that Kadoorie’s participation in this national initiative reflects the university’s commitment to promoting the values of human rights and gender equality, while also advancing academic curricula that integrate these principles into the educational process.

He highlighted that the project follows two tracks: the first involves organizing training and awareness activities, and the second focuses on developing a university course dedicated to human rights and gender equality in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education.
More than 600 students from various universities and colleges benefited from these workshops.

The workshops aimed at intellectually and leadership-wise empowering university students, equipping them with the skills needed to engage effectively in societal issues, particularly those related to equality, economic empowerment, and employment from a gender perspective.

This participation aligns with the university’s strategic vision to prepare students academically and socially, fostering youth leaders capable of driving positive change in their local and regional communities.
