The Department of Media Technology at Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie PTUK has concluded its training workshop titled “Press Freedom.”
The workshop aimed to prepare students for participation in the Press Freedom Competition by enhancing their practical skills and deepening their understanding of press freedom and its societal role.
Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences, Dr. Rima Draghmeh, emphasized the importance of such workshops in refining students’ skills, noting that the university is committed to supporting initiatives that prepare students for the labor market and instill in them the values of professional and responsible journalism.
Head of the Media Technology Department, Mr. Atef Shuqair, reaffirmed the department’s continuous efforts to provide high-quality training opportunities that meet labor market requirements and equip students with the tools needed for excellence and creativity in the media field.
Workshop trainer Ms. Amal Murshid explained that the training offered students an intensive hands-on experience in addressing press freedom issues, highlighting that the participants’ strong engagement reflected their awareness and readiness to compete with professionalism and responsibility.
The organization of this workshop reflects PTUK’s ongoing commitment to fostering a practical learning environment that enables students to actively engage with current media issues and develop their competitiveness at both local and international levels.
