Palestine Technical University–Kadoorie PTUK / Ramallah Branch launched today the second edition of “Al-Sadd wa Al-Sanad,” an initiative aimed at promoting Palestinian national products and strengthening their presence in the local market. The event reflects the university’s mission as the State University to support higher and technical education while contributing to national economic development.
The event was attended by PTUK President Prof. Hussein Shanak, Deputy Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Dr. Walid Hamdan, Director of the Ramallah Branch Prof. Gultan Hijazi, as well as representatives from governmental, security, and civil institutions. The initiative was organized by the Student Affairs Department.
Through this event, the university reaffirmed its commitment to fostering community and economic partnerships, and to creating interactive spaces that bring together the academic sector with productive industries. The exhibition saw broad participation from Palestinian companies and factories showcasing high-quality local products.
PTUK President Prof. Hussein Shanak emphasized that the State University continues its national role in advancing higher and technical education and aligning it with the needs of the Palestinian economy, noting that supporting national products is a key pillar in strengthening the resilience of the Palestinian community.
Prof. Shanak added that the university is working to build an integrated ecosystem with national institutions and productive sectors, enabling students to innovate and engage effectively in the labor market. He affirmed that holding this event for the second consecutive year demonstrates the university’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local economy and raising awareness among students and the wider community about the importance of investing in Palestinian products.
