PTUK and Al-Israa Specialized Hospital Sign Cooperation Agreement

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie signed a cooperation agreement with Al-Israa Specialized Hospital in Tulkarm to strengthen integration between academic education and practical training in the healthcare sector.

The agreement aims at advancing clinical training programs for students of allied medical specialties, enhancing professional competencies, and contributing to improving the quality of healthcare services in the Palestinian community.

The agreement was signed by the University President, Prof. Hussein Shanak, and by the Hospital General Manager, Dr. Ismail Al-Hafi, in the presence of Dr. Rabab Jarar, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences; Dr. Ahmad Shwaika, Dean of Planning and Development; Dr. Mohammad Jallad, Dean of the Faculty of Cooperative Education; and representatives from both institutions.

Prof. Shanak stated that the agreement marks the beginning of a series of strategic partnerships with medical institutions aimed at establishing an effective healthcare collaboration network that enhances the quality of academic and clinical training. He described Al-Israa Hospital as a leading medical institution in Tulkarm Governorate, noting that the partnership will provide students with a comprehensive training environment aligned with high professional standards.

He added that cooperation extends beyond clinical training to include institutional development and digital transformation, including support for electronic systems, digitization processes, and artificial intelligence applications, in line with the University’s vision of leveraging innovation to serve the Palestinian healthcare sector.

Dr. Al-Hafi emphasized the Hospital’s commitment to collaboration with academic institutions, highlighting their essential role in preparing qualified healthcare professionals capable of meeting community needs. He affirmed that the Hospital will provide an integrated training environment under specialized professional supervision and will dedicate its expertise and resources to support continuous medical education and strengthen ties between national universities and healthcare institutions.

The agreement provides for the placement of student groups in various hospital departments for clinical training, in addition to cooperation in institutional development, digital transformation initiatives, and the implementation of joint applied projects aimed at enhancing performance quality and service delivery.
