Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie signed a cooperation and training agreement with the Charitable Society of the Friends of the Patient – Al-Amal Hospital at the Society’s headquarters in Jenin.
The agreement strengthens the University’s partnership with local community institutions and supports the practical training track for its students.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Rabab Jarar, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, Mr. Abdul Alawneh, Hospital Administrative Director, and Dr. Maher Kilani, Medical Director.
Under the agreement, Al-Amal Hospital will host and train students from the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences across its various departments for a period of two years. The initiative aims to enhance students’ practical competencies and bridge academic study with professional practice, in line with the Society’s ongoing community role.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the University by its President, Hussein Shanak, and on behalf of the Society by the Chairman of its Administrative Board, Ghaleb Sbeihat.
Prof. Shanak affirmed that the agreement aligns with the University’s strategy to expand its partnerships with healthcare institutions and to provide advanced training environments that prepare qualified professionals capable of serving the community with competence and responsibility.
For his part, Mr. Sbeihat expressed pride in the partnership with the University, noting that the Hospital will continue to dedicate its expertise and resources to support students and to strengthen collaboration between academic institutions and the healthcare sector in Jenin Governorate.
