Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday, 24 February 2026, with the Official Gazette Bureau to strengthen cooperation in legal and academic fields, contributing to knowledge development and service to Palestinian society.
The MoU was signed on behalf of the University by its President, Prof. Hussein Shanak, and on behalf of the Bureau by its President, Reem Abu Al-Rub, in the presence of representatives from both institutions.
The memorandum aims to unify efforts and exchange expertise, organize specialized workshops and meetings, collaborate on legal studies and research, and implement training programs for university students and staff. It also includes consideration of launching a specialized professional diploma in fields to be agreed upon, in alignment with labor market needs.
Prof. Shanak affirmed that the agreement reflects the University’s commitment to expanding engagement with national institutions and strengthening integration between academic and professional sectors. He noted that cooperation with the Official Gazette Bureau will provide high-quality training opportunities that enhance students’ competencies and professional readiness.
Counselor Abu Al-Rub stated that the MoU aligns with the Bureau’s direction toward building partnerships with academic institutions, emphasizing the importance of practical training and capacity building to prepare qualified professionals capable of responding to developments in the legal and institutional environment.
This step aligns with the University’s broader vision of fostering effective national partnerships that advance competencies and support sustainable development.
