PTUK Honors Winners of Ramadan Competition

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, through the Deanship of Student Affairs and in collaboration with the Student Union Council, held an award ceremony honoring the winners of its Ramadan Competition.

The event was attended by Dr. Alaa Issa, Dean of Student Affairs; Dr. Nael Salman, Assistant President for Information Technology Affairs; Mr. Bilal Al-Sheikh Ali, Head of the Activities Department; competition supervisor Mr. Khalil Abu Albah; Student Council representative Yaqeen Bashir; Mr. Oday Abu Al-Lail, Director of Al-Andalus Travel & Tourism; and Mr. Nasser Abu Shamat, representative of Al-Hayat Trading Company.

The competition was organized as part of the University’s commitment to leveraging the spiritual atmosphere of the holy month of Ramadan to promote positive values among students, enhance their cultural and religious knowledge, and foster a spirit of fair competition in a stimulating academic environment.

The ceremony underscored the importance of extracurricular activities in shaping students’ personalities, encouraging initiative and teamwork, and creating space for creativity and excellence within the University community.

A total of 16 students were honored for their participation and outstanding performance. The grand prize—an Umrah trip—was awarded to student Mohammad Basharat, sponsored by Al-Andalus Travel & Tourism, in addition to a range of valuable prizes presented to other winners by Al-Hayat Trading Company.

Dr. Alaa Issa expressed his appreciation to all sponsors for their generous support, noting that such contributions reflect a strong sense of partnership and social responsibility, and play a vital role in advancing student activities and fostering excellence on campus.

He also commended the collective efforts of the University’s departments, centers, and colleges, highlighting the spirit of institutional integration. Special recognition was given to Dr. Hazem Zioud from the General Culture Department and Eng. Aql Tubasi, Director of Systems and Development, for their significant contributions to the successful organization of the competition.
