Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK) and Tulkarm Municipality concluded their joint training program for the 2025 – 2026 academic year during a closing ceremony held at the municipality's Jerusalem Hall. The event was attended by Prof. Hussein Shanak, President of PTUK, Mr. Nasr Fuqaha, Mayor of Tulkarm, as well as academic, administrative, and technical staff and the students who participated in the program.
The ceremony featured the official launch and handover of two digital systems developed by PTUK students as part of the training program: a Library Management System for Tulkarm Municipality and a Municipal Dashboard System. The projects reflect the practical outcomes of the program while supporting the municipality's digital transformation and enhancing public service delivery.
Certificates of experience were awarded to the participating students, and program coordinators and technical and administrative staff were recognized for their contributions to the program's success, highlighting the strong partnership between the University and the Municipality.
The joint training program reflects the longstanding collaboration between PTUK and Tulkarm Municipality and underscores the University's commitment to integrating academic learning with practical experience. It also provides students with opportunities to apply their knowledge through technology-driven projects that serve local community institutions while advancing digital transformation and sustainable development.
