PTUK Participates in Specialized Nuclear Medicine Workshop

Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie (PTUK), represented by the Department of Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Radiology at the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, participated in the specialized workshop “Fundamentals of Nuclear Medicine,” organized by the Arab American University with the participation of leading academics and specialists in nuclear medicine and medical imaging.

During the workshop, Dr. Osama Khadrajj, Head of the Department of Medical Imaging and Diagnostic Radiology, delivered a scientific lecture entitled “Fundamentals of Diagnosis and Treatment Using Theranostics,” highlighting recent advances in nuclear medicine and explaining the concept of Theranostics, which combines targeted diagnosis and treatment. He also discussed its growing role in improving diagnostic accuracy and treatment outcomes, particularly in oncology.

Mr. Nadi Jaradat, a faculty member in the department, also delivered a lecture on the various applications and branches of nuclear medicine and their integration into clinical practice, highlighting the importance of the field in advancing modern diagnostic and therapeutic services.

The workshop brought together academics and students from various medical disciplines and academic levels, providing a platform for knowledge and experience exchange and an opportunity to explore the latest developments in nuclear medicine.

Dr. Rabab Jarrar, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, commended the University's participation, emphasizing PTUK's commitment to strengthening its academic presence, expanding collaboration with higher education institutions, promoting knowledge exchange and scientific research, and keeping pace with advances in the medical sciences.
