South Korean Republic Representative Visits PTUK

The President of Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie prof. Marwan Awartani received today in his office the representative of South Korean Republic of Palestine Mr. Choi Yeng Sam to discuss means of future academic cooperation with South Korea in presence of the President Assistants, the Dean of Planning and Development, the Projects Planning Unit and the Director of the External Communication.
Prof Awartani gave a brief introduction about the university specialty as the only state and technical university in Palestine pointing however to the nearby Israeli separation wall and their military training camp and continuous incursions to the university’s land which obstacle the teaching and academic life processes.
The University President also explained the fact that Kadoorie finds in South Korea the technical and industrial platform that intersects with the aspirations of the University and its pioneering role in investing the Korean technical space to serve the university students and staff.
He also expressed the University's readiness to promote scientific cooperation with Korean universities and institutes bringing in the establishment of research centers of excellence.
For his part, the Korean representative expressed his happiness visiting the university showing his readiness to corporate over setting up academic and research programs as well as technical scientific centers that will serve the university community.
The Korean representative conducted a tour around the university’s different labs, centers, technical set ups and facilities looking at the huge Israeli incursions at the university campus.
