Three Erasmus+ Training Programs Obtained by PTUK

Three high quality programs from the European Union for supporting youth training have been obtained by Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie within Erasmus+ program.
The three scientific joint projects are to be managed by PTUK where two projects will be implemented by the university and a third one will be administered in participation with the other Palestinian universities.
The first group of the proposed projects are set to standards to improve technical and vocational learning in the region.
The first project, entitled “educational capacities development in vocational and technical learning at university level – Capacity Building,” aims at enhancing contribution between the Palestinian universities to strengthen the educational capacities of scientific research throughout academic staff capacities development in education, engineering and diploma colleges in addition to improving networking between the Palestinian academic staff and the international partners.
The Dean of Arts and Science College and the Project Coordinator, Dr. Nuha Iter pointed out that the project includes multiple activities in field survey to identify strength and weakness points as well as development zones, training in Palestine and abroad, graduate students’ projects and Master theses, developing training programs for professionals, educational computerized and non-computerized sources as well as assessment and follow-up activities.
Dr. Iter explained that the project was proposed by Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie throughout the harmony and consensus of the education and engineering colleges and in partnership with Polytechnic, An – Najah, Al – Quds, Arab – American Universities and the University College for Applied Sciences in Gaza in addition to five European universities.
The second project is structured in coordination and administration of the Associate Professor in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Technology Dr. Saed Khayyat in the field of innovation in water sciences, water security, raising economic and social standards in the Mediterranean countries to address against climate change phenomenon.
Dr. Khayyat stated that the project will strengthen the research excellence centers in Palestine and Jordan in fields of water throughout partnerships between the universities and the labor market as well as the local economy and the security with participation of six countries including Palestine, Jordan, Greece, Netherlands, Cyprus, and Spain.
