Kadoorie Leads Training Visit to Conclude 3EEE Events in Slovenia


A delegation from Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie concluded a training visit to Slovenia as part 3EEE Flipped Practical Courses VIA Triple Learning Environments which developed by Triple Experts teams whose are empowered through Triple Enhance programs which is funded by the European Union through Erasmus+.





The project, which is led by Kadoorie University, was represented by the project director, Dr. Nuha Iter, along with the coordinator of digital marketing course, Dr. Maan Khatib and the director of the renewable energy course, Dr. Mahmoud Ismaeel. An online meeting through Teams platform was conducted in presence of Dr. Murad Awadallah and Dr. Rami Dibi’ who are devoted to develop courses designed in line with the flipped class methodology, in addition to the technical support provided for all participants and trainers to install, rename, and determine authorship for the courses through Moodle platform by the Eng. Ayman Nour and Eng. Alaa Hantouli from the PTUK’s E-learning Department. The project director,





Dr. Nuha Iter indicated that the training visit included training events that serve the topics of the flipped classroom approach with a focus on blended learning as one of the methods of the flipped classroom, and the resources in the Moodle platform that supports the flipped classroom approach. She added that the participants were trained on how to construct these resources in the blended lectures, explaining that 15 courses were initiated on the Moodle platform where the servers of Palestine Technical University hosted these courses, and a teacher authorship was given to all trainers and coordinators, in addition student authorships over other courses in order to promote continuous training that serves the process of developing courses according to the flipped class approach. Visits were also conducted to laboratories for the production and manufacture of polymers and a visit to the municipality of Slovin Grads, and the municipality was introduced to the project and its partners. Dr. Iter added that the visit included workshops on Moodle skills and artificial intelligence fields along with the topics of the flipped classroom, and the project's Moodle platform was presented and opened under the title: Flip-3EEE Moodle, including the courses that teachers of five Palestinian universities from all disciplines are working to develop, where the coordinators of these courses participated in this first scientific visit to establish the courses, noting that this visit took place in Europe in light of the needs and the experiences that were addressed in the training course that was held online simultaneously and asynchronously in May of this year. Dr. Iter indicated the importance of exchanging experiences in using the flipped classroom approach in building programs and courses because even if the approach is not new, adding that in the context of the project and using three learning environments, it is a modern and an innovative approach for the benefit of the project if it is mastered and the courses are developed according to it, so it was necessary to allocate a day to present international experiences on the flipped classroom approach by teachers of partner universities in the PolyFlip project. It is noteworthy that the delegation of the training visit to the project included representatives of its partners such as the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Al-Quds University, the University College of Applied Sciences, Palestine Polytechnic University, and the Arab American University.
