Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie PTUK took part in the fifth management meeting of the project “Enhancing ICT Competencies in Higher Education Institutions in the MENA Region ICT4EDU,” hosted by Frederick University in Cyprus from September 15–26, 2025.
The project is supported by the Erasmus+ Program and the European Union. PTUK was represented by Dr. Mahmoud Jazar, Project Director from the Faculty of Information Technology, and Dr. Jaafar Abu Sa’a from the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences.
The meeting also brought together several Palestinian universities—including Palestine Technical University in Deir Al-Balah and Al-Istiqlal University—alongside partner universities from Jordan University of Jordan, Mutah University, Irbid National University and Egypt Al-Azhar University, Suez Canal University, Heliopolis University. European partners included the University of Porto Portugal, Frederick University Cyprus, University of Bucharest Romania, and University of Padua Italy.
Dr. Mahmoud Jazar, ICT4EDU Project Coordinator and Director, highlighted PTUK’s commitment to enriching students’ academic and scientific experiences by providing them with opportunities to participate in international training. As part of the project, a group of PTUK students from the Faculty of Arts and Educational Sciences joined a student training program at Frederick University during the same period.
The training featured a series of workshops aimed at enhancing students’ academic and research skills. Among them was a specialized course on statistical analysis using PSPP, designed to strengthen students’ abilities in handling digital data, conducting scientific analysis, and applying various statistical tests with modern software tools.
In addition, the program introduced students to storytelling tools as a method for presenting research results and data in more engaging and accessible ways. By applying storytelling techniques, students learned how to simplify complex information, communicate it effectively across different academic audiences, and increase the practical impact and visibility of their research.
This participation underscores PTUK’s ongoing commitment to offering global learning experiences to its students and equipping them with advanced pedagogical and technological skills to support their academic and professional growth.
