 University Council

One of the university’s supreme bodies, consisting of the university’s president, deputies, deans, ‎directors of administrative departments and representatives of civil and official community ‎institutions, which maintains the university’s academic and administrative progress and works to ‎remove the obstacles it faces, especially in exceptional and emergency cases, and works to avoid ‎such cases in the future to preserve the educational process‏.‏
The University Council also considers and studies the general appeal cases submitted to the ‎Council of Deans and takes the appropriate decisions‏.‏
 
Council tasks
Preserve the academic and administrative progress of the university, work to remove the ‎obstacles it faces, especially in exceptional and emergency cases, and work to avoid the ‎occurrence of such cases in the future‏.‏

  • The President of the University as the Chairman of the Council‏.‏

Board powers and responsibilities
  • Preventing disruptions that might disrupt the academic process at the university and taking ‎appropriate measures in such cases‏.‏
  • Suspending of study when necessary‏.‏
  • Following up the work of the committees that emerge from the council‏.‏
  • Following up the work of emergency disciplinary bodies in accordance with the applicable ‎regulations‏.‏
  • Discussing the reports of the Student Affairs Department in exceptional cases‏.‏
  • Issuing statements concerning the measures taken by the university in cases of events that hinder ‎the university's academic progress, especially in emergency situations‏.‏
  • Considering the general appeal cases submitted to the Deans' Council, and taking the appropriate ‎decisions‏.‏
  • Taking decisions in emergency cases. ‎

The decisions of the Council shall be binding to all its members, both present and absent‏.‏
