Admission Requirements in PTUK

The university has been holding placement exams for both computer and English skills since 2008.‎
Submitting an application does not mean that the student is automatically admitted into the major; ‎admission is competitive in accordance to the capacity of the specialization.‎
 
First: Admission requirements for Doctoral degrees
A relevant master's degree, with a minimum average grade of "good" or higher.‎
 
Second: Admission requirements for Master degrees
A relevant bachelor's degree, with a minimum average grade of "good" or higher.‎
 
Third: Admission requirements for Bachelor degrees
 
Admission according to high school branches:‎
  • College of Engineering and Technology: Students are allowed to apply for admission if they are ‎holders of scientific, industrial and technological General Secondary School degree with an average ‎of (80%) or higher.‎
  • College of Applied Sciences: Students are allowed to apply for admission if they are holders of ‎scientific, industrial, technological and agricultural General Secondary Education degree with an ‎average of (65%) or higher.‎
  • College of Arts and Educational Sciences: Students are allowed to apply for admission if they are ‎holders of scientific, industrial, technological, literary, legal, hotel management, home economics, ‎entrepreneurship and business General Secondary Education degree with an average of (65%) or ‎higher.‎
  • College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences: Students are allowed to apply for admission if ‎they are holders of scientific, industrial, technological, literary, legal, hotel management, home ‎economics, entrepreneurship and business General Secondary Education degree with an average of ‎‎(65%) and above.‎
  • College of Business and Economics: Students are allowed to apply for admission if they are holders ‎of scientific, industrial, technological, literary, legal, hotel management, home economics, ‎entrepreneurship and business General Secondary Education degree with an average of (65%) or ‎higher.‎
  • College of Agricultural Science and Technology: Students are allowed to apply for admission if they ‎are holders of scientific, industrial, technological and agricultural General Secondary Education ‎degree with an average of (65%) or higher.‎
Fourth: Admission Requirements for Diploma degree
 
Admission according to high school branches:‎
  • administrative and financial science, computer, applied arts and food processing are open for ‎admission of all high school branches, with an average of at least (50%).‎
  • Engineering professions: open for admission of high school holders from the scientific, industrial and ‎technological branches with an average of (50%) at least.‎
Fifth: Bridging System
Students who have completed their diploma studies and wish to join the bridging program to obtain ‎a bachelor’s degree must meet the following conditions:‎
First: All majors except for Engineering and Pharmacy
  • Completion of the diploma program with a cumulative average of 60% or higher.‎
  • Passing the comprehensive exam with a passing grade (60%) or higher.‎
  • After admission into a university, the student is given at least three remedial courses related to the ‎specialization as deemed appropriate by the university, provided that s/he achieves an average of ‎‎(70%) in these courses.‎
Second: All Engineering and Pharmacy majors
  • Completion of the intermediate diploma study with a cumulative average of (75%) and above.‎
  • Passing the comprehensive exam with an average of (75%) or higher.‎
  • At the university, the student is given at least three remedial courses related to the specialization as ‎the university deems appropriate, provided that s/he achieves a rate of (75%) in these courses.‎
